Business Unit/Ancillary Service Expansion – Creating new service offerings to your core business can be a daunting and risky proposition. Ensuring effective business planning to understand the market supply and demand, regulatory hurdles, and capital requirements are just some of the activities that need to occur before taking the plunge. Reinvest Health is here to ensure a thorough analysis is completed as you contemplate new revenue streams to augment your business and diversify your service offerings.

Succession Planning and Exit Strategies – Tragedy can strike at the any time, whether it is a sudden death of a CEO or the unexpected retirement of a significant shareholder. Careful planning to ensure continuity of your business with minimal disruption associated with unexpected events is critical to any operation. Furthermore, effective scenario planning around specific monetary events (e.g., merger, joint venture, sale) is important to mitigate risk and ensure alignment among investors and senior executives. Reinvest assists its partner clients develop specific succession plan and exit strategies to ensure organizations are prepared for the future.

Facility Planning – Space maximization, workflow optimization, and real estate investment are just some of the concepts contemplated in facility planning engagements. Healthcare organizations are often busting at the seams under a predominately fee-for-service, volume driven reimbursement model. With a shift to value and as virtual care models evolve, efficient use of space will be an imperative. Newly trained physicians seldom have access to capital to purchase real estate and often rent space to house their private practice. We work with architects and contractors to represent your needs and design requirements for denovo and renovated clinical settings.

Service Line Planning – Clinical service line constructs are not new to the healthcare industry, dating back as early as 1981. With patients (and associated disease-states and or common treatments) at the center, service line constructs are designed to break down the traditional walls of a hospital to create collaboration and coordination between clinicians, allied health professionals, quality, finance, materials management, and other administrative services. Effective planning around common services (e.g., Musculoskeletal, Neurosciences, Heart and Vascular) are required to create service differentiation in the market and ensure strong clinical and financial performance.

Board Retreats – We partner with organizations to effectively plan and execute board-level meetings and retreats, from half-day, full-day, to weekend-long events designed for reflection, connection, introspection, and renewal. We ensure the retreat has a specific purpose, a deliberate process/agenda, and well-articulated anticipated outcomes. Our assistance ranges from full support and facilitation to advisory in nature.

Advisory and Interim Leadership/Management Services – Well articulated, thoughtful strategic plans require a strong focus on execution. Reinvest Health partner with our clients to ensure a masterful strategy is properly executed and provide continued advisory services to ensure key milestones and objectives are met. In the event our partners are resource constrained, we will offer interim leadership and management services to augment their teams to ensure success

The Process: Assess, Iterate, and Execute

  • Assess

Regardless of the strategic nature of our engagement, we initiate all planning projects with an assessment. Our data driven process assimilates quantitative analysis from internal and external perspectives. Our qualitative approach focuses on actively listening to your executive leadership, your management team, and your front-line staff to gather various perspectives. We assimilate our quantitative and qualitative findings into a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis and present to key stakeholders. This assessment is the foundation to develop a thoughtful, results driven strategy.

  • Iterate

Creating a feedback look during the process is critical. Combining best practices and out-of-the-box thinking, we develop a straw man model to present to key stakeholders regarding specific goals, objectives, and key strategies. We integrate this straw man model with administrative and clinical leadership to finalize goals and strategic imperatives. We partner with project sponsors and process owners to identify the key tactics, activities, and creation of KPIs. The puzzle pieces are assembled into a plan that poised for execution and is results-driving. Finally, our team identifies the resource and financial commitments required to be successful.

  • Execute

We strive to ensure our clients are successful and leave them with the tools to accomplish their goals and objectives of the plan. We are always available to roll up our sleeve and augment the leadership and/or management team to ensure success through executive advisory, interim leadership/ management, and/or project management services, as needed.
